Agriculture is arguably the best form of generating wealth out of nature, and the place of farmers in the economy remains quite indispensable. However, there is an emerging class of farmers called smart farmers who have learned the principles of making greater fortunes out of greenies and veggies without necessarily exerting their brawns or going through the toils experienced by the traditional farmers — they are calculative individuals and stakeholders in Agricultural real estate, and they are whom the Marxists might choose to pigeonhole as bourgeoisie farmers. This class of farmers however have well justified roles in capital intensive mechanized […]

Rather, you cannot resist the luxury and thrill of the modern automobiles and the comfy and swiftness of the aircrafts as they pierce the […]

One of the popular ways to increase crop yield is the application of fertilizers, either organic or inorganic or at times, the combination of both called organo-mineral. However, the application of fertilizers has basic concept farmers must understand before starting the operation. Fertilizer is a separate entity and not a major factor for plant growth, though it’s a prerequisite. What makes it optional is the information that fertilizers are not needed in all cases, only in a condition when found deficient in the soil through the signs exhibited by the plants. Depending on whether the benefits can be controlled within or outside the production organization, economies of scale are of two types –internal and external economies. From the internal perspective, the producer enjoys economies of scale when it buys […]
Agriculture is extremely vulnerable to climate change, but it also produces about 14% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. There is consensus that climate change will have a significant impact on agriculture in developing countries. So far agriculture has been on the fringes of negotiations, despite it being a role player in any future legally binding agreement. But because it stands so central to climate change, voices are getting stronger that agriculture […]
